Curious about joining MSC? We had so much fun at our first Open House, we have scheduled a second one! Visit a rehearsal to find out more about the choirs of Mobile’s Singing Children. Open to any and all who want to learn more about music education with MSC.
Check-in will open at 3:45, and we will begin at 4 pm in the SHPC Fellowship Hall with a quick presentation about our choirs from our former Artistic Director and current Executive Director, Susan Hoitt. Use this time to gather information, ask questions about MSC, and hear from some of our Encore singers about their experience singing in our choirs. You will then be guided to the choir room to observe a portion of Preparatory and Intermezzo Choir rehearsal with our current Artistic Director, Katie Hoitt, and accompanist, Nick Lewis. You’ll finish the hour with a brief observation of a music theory class, taught by David Pryor, and an opportunity to ask any remaining questions you may have.
